We will venture deep into the lush Mekong Delta to shop at a floating market and see how the local communities live. We will explore the charming town of Hoi An, visit the famous Cham Museum and ascend the spectacular Marble Mountain. In Hue, we will tour the ancient citadel, cruise down the Perfume River, discover fascinating royal Mausoleums and experience a lively market. An intrepid overnight train journey will take us to Ninh Binh, one of the most scenic regions in Vietnam, where we will cycle through the enchanting mountainous terrain. We will cruise through magnificent Halong Bay, taking in the striking limestone islands, secluded coves and impressive caves. In Vietnam’s historic capital, Hanoi, we will tour the city’s most important monuments, before flying to Laos to discover the picturesque town of Luang Prabang and it’s surrounding attractions, including the mystifying Pakou Caves, hill-tribe villages, the remarkable Kuang Si Waterfall and a bear sanctuary. We will get a taste of the energetic capital cities of Laos and Cambodia - Vientiane and Phnom Penh - taking in atmospheric temples, historic monuments and harrowing memorials to the Cambodian genocide. We will take a boat trip to peaceful Tonle Sap Lake, visiting floating villages and learning about life on the lake. We will unravel the magnificent Angkor Temple complex, seeing the best of the majestic temple ruins, including the iconic Angkor Wat, and the pink sandstone Banteay Srey Temple.

Travel from Ho Chi Minh City, visiting Southern  Vietnam’s most sensational urban and rural destinations, and delve into Cambodia’s recent and ancient history in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Starting from Ho Chi Minh City, we discover the rich colonial and war-time history of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City. We also have time seeing the extensive tunnels of Cu Chi, a stronghold for the communists during their long struggle for independence  and the ornate temple of Cai Dai Religion in Tay  Ninh. The mid day temple service gives an interesting look when all followers fill the hall, with wearing colored robes. These costumes are a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.  We will venture deep into the lush Mekong Delta region, visiting a floating market and boating through the enchanting Tra Su Forest swampland, spotting local wildlife. We will voyage along the Mekong river to the bustling Cambodian city of Phnom Penh, where an array of museums, pagodas and markets await us. In Siem Reap, we will tour the splendid Angkor Temple complex, exploring the best of the temple ruins, including spectacular Angkor Wat.
