No, drinking tap water is not recommended in Vietnam. Simply it is not worth risk of getting sick while on holiday and that drinking tap water could easily ruin your tours in Vietnam. Alternatively, use bottled water, filtered water or get boiled water at your hotels.

Delicious and diverse, Vietnamese drinks are also a must-try while you are on holiday in Vietnam. To quench your thirst on hot and humid days or get some experience, you are recommended to sip on Sinh To (fruit smoothie), Ca Phe (Coffee), Nuoc Mia (sugar cane juice), Soda Chanh (Lime Soda), Tra Atiso (Artichoke Tea), Nuoc Sam (Herbal Tea), Bia Hoi ( Draft Beer), Ruou Nep Cam (Violet  Sticky Rice Wine).
