Discover the most captivating and awe-inspiring destinations across Vietnam and Cambodia on this 15-day trip taking in beautiful landscapes and vibrant cities across two enchanting countries. This trip will commence in historic Hanoi, where we will see the city’s most significant attractions, before experiencing majestic Halong Bay by boat. We will cruise past dramatic islands jutting out of emerald waters and stop at an impressive cave. We will take an overnight train journey to the ancient citadel of Hue, where we will boat down the Perfume River and explore temples, mausoleums and markets in the surrounding countryside. We will ascend the spectacular Marble Mountain and visit the famous Cham Museum. We will travel on to the pretty town of Hoi An, walking through the most beautiful parts of the town and enjoying free time to relax on the beach. In Ho Chi Minh City, we will delve into the fascinating colonial and war-time history of the city, before venturing into the verdant Mekong Delta region to see how local people live here and enjoy the lush scenery by boat. We will journey overland to Phnom Penh to see the city’s atmospheric temples, historic monuments, bustling markets and harrowing memorials to the Cambodian genocide. After arriving in Siem Reap, we will take a boat trip to Tonle Sap Lake, visiting floating villages and meeting the communities who live on the lake. We will explore the splendid Angkor Temple complex, taking in the most beautiful and interesting temple ruins, including the notorious Angkor Wat and the pink sandstone Banteay Srey Temple.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival - Hanoi

Greeted  at airport by our guide and driven to hotel. Check in hotel and have free time.

OVERNIGHT: Hanoi MEALS: No

On arrival at Hanoi Airport, you are greeted  by our guide and taken to your hotel by private transfer. You will have some time free to relax or explore at your own leisure. The capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi is a fascinating blend of East and West, combining traditional Sino-Vietnamese motifs with French flair. The building boom has made Hanoi a rapidly developing city in Southeast Asia. However, it still retains an old charm brought from a thousand year of history, with many interesting cultural and historic monuments, beautiful lakes, shady parks, bustling street markets, funny shops and open air eating spots jostled in ancient houses, and historic temples adjoining colonial style structures. They offer both local and foreigner visitors an endless exploration. You might like to  stroll through the fascinating old quarter containing many vibrant streets which are named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. The lively atmosphere in Hanoi old quarter runs from the early hours until late at night  with many street vendors calling, horns honking, and chaotic traffic with waves of motorbikes you’ve never experienced.

Day 2

Hanoi City Tour

Spend a day to explore Hanoi, seeing Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ( close on Mon. and Fri) and  Ho Chi Minh House , One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of  Literature  and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.  Take a walk around the old quarter and enjoy a water puppet show.

Day 3

Hanoi – Halong Bay

Take a drive through the countryside to  Halong Bay. Embark a cruise for two day trip in Halong Bay, visit the scenic stone landscape and enjoy sea activities.

Day 4

Halong Bay – Hanoi

Get up early to join the Tai Chi exercise or explore the bay at dawn. Visit Surprise cave and have brunch on cruise before heading back to Hanoi.

Day 5

Hanoi – Hue

Have free day to explore Hanoi or join one of our optional trips. Transfer to Hanoi train station for overnight journey to Hue.

Day 6

Arrival – Hue

Arrviving at Hue Station, meet our guide for transfer to hotel.  Spend this afternoon seeing Hue with Imperial Citadel,Thien  Mu Pagoda  and Dong Ba Market.

Day 7

Hue – Hoi An

Continue exploring Hue  with Minh Mang and Khai Ding Mausoleum. Heading  south, take drive to  Hoi An. En route,  visit Cham Museum and Marble Mountain.

Day 8

Hoi An City Tour

Spend a half day exploring Hoi An on a walking tour. Visit Japanese Bridge, Museum  of Trade Ceramics, Phung Huong Ancient House, Chua Ong Pagoda and Phuc Kien Assemby Hall. Have free time to relax on Cua Dai Beach and do some shopping activities.

Day 9

Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh

Transfer to Da Nang Airport and fly to Ho Chi Minh. Spend this afternoon seeing some major sights of Ho Chi Minh, including Nguyen Hue Boulevard, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, War Remnant Exhibit and Ben Thanh Market.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta

Travel by road to Mekong Delta and take a boat trip on the Mekong River to explore  Mekong Delta. Visit Unicorn Island and Ben Tre with cottage industries. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh with stopover at China Town.

Day 11

Ho Chi Minh – Phnom Penh

Transfer to tourist bus departure and travel by bus to Phnom Penh. Arriving at bus terminal, meet our guide and drive to hotel. Spend this afternoon seeing Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda

Day 12

Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

Continue seeing Phnom Penh with National Museum of Cambodia, Wat Phnom, Toul Sleng Museum. Take a walk around Central market in Phnom Penh before travelling by bus to Siem Reap. Met by our guide and driven to hotel. Have time to explore Siem Repa Town at leisure.

Day 13

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Take drive to archeological site and visit Angkor Thom, South Gate, Royal Enclosure and Bayon. Continue seeing famous Angkor Wat and catch sunset from Pre Rup Temple.

Day 14

Siem Reap – Banteay Srey

Head out of Siem Reap Town, explore Banteay Srey Temple. Continue seeing  Ta Prohm Temple, Neak Pean and Preah Khan.

Day 15

Siem Reap – Departure

Transfer to airport for departure.

PASSPORT & VISA

The passport must have six-months validity remaining and one blank page for entry stamp. To enter Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, foreigners require a valid visa, except  nationals of certain countries, which may visit  these countries  without visa for a period of time. You are required to contact our sales dep. to get the update visa exemption.

VACCINATION

At this time, no vaccination is required, but you should check with your doctor the health  information of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

CUSTOM REGULATION

1.VIETNAM

Vietnam custom regulation: free import of 200 cigarettes, or 20 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco, 1,5 liters liquor at 20% volumes and above or 2 liters liquor below 20% volume or 3 liters of alcoholic beverages (excl. wines) and soft drinks, 5 kilograms of tea in maximum, 3 kilograms of coffe in maximum, a reasonable quantity of perfume and personal belongings, and other goods, total value of which is not exceeding ten million VND.

Import and export of firearms and ammunition is prohibited. Transit transportation of firearms, ammunition, explosives and highly dangerous goods is subject to prior approval from the government of Viet Nam.

No restriction of currency is applied for entry or exit Vietnam. However you must make the declaration if you bring along  Vietnamese Dong in excess of VND 150,000,000 or foreign currency in excess of 5,000 U.S. dollars or equivalent.  

2.CAMBODIA

Cambodia  custom regulation: free import of 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 400 grams of tobacco,  2 liters of alcohol or wine,  350 milliliters of perfume or eau de toilette, personal effects.

Currently, goods worth more than USD 100 are subject to customs duty and taxes and goods with a value of more than USD 300 must be declared on a Customs Declaration Form.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.
