An adventurous eleven day tour into rural Cambodia to see wonderful wildlife and staggering landscapes, whilst visiting the country’s most popular and fascinating attractions. We will discover Cambodia’s vibrant capital, Phnom Penh, and see the city’s diverse cultural influences and most treasured sites, including the Royal Palace complex with its striking Silver Pagoda, the National Museum of Cambodia, the impressive Wat Phnom temple, the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the infamous ‘Killing Fields’. We will leave the city for the remote hill town of Sen Monorom, where there are numerous adventurous activities on offer, including the chance to ride an elephant to a waterfall where the majestic animals bathe. We will take in the sensational mountainous scenery on the drive to Ban Lung, where we can swim in a beautiful volcanic crater lake and trek through a national park rich in wildlife. We will have the chance to spot the endangered Irrawaddy dolphins before heading to Siem Reap, stopping at hidden jungle temples on the way. The climax of our trip will be the magnificent Angkor temple ruins, where we will see the best of the archaeological site, including the extraordinary Angkor Wat, the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor Thom, the Royal Enclosure and the ethereal Ta Prohm Temple, which is entwined with jungle vegetation.
