Tour Overview

A tour which showcases the unique characters of three fascinating Southeast Asian countries, discovering cosmopolitan culture, ancient empires and beautiful landscapes. This adventure will showcase the Cambodian town of Siem Reap, gateway to the remarkable Angkor Temple complex. Here we will visit the best of the ancient temple ruins, including the iconic Angkor Wat, and the pink sandstone Banteay Srey Temple. We will travel by traditional boat to Tonle Sap Lake, one of the largest natural fresh water bodies in Southeast Asia, visiting floating villages and markets on the lake. We will continue our journey to the gorgeous town of Luang Prabang in Laos, to discover its unique fusion of colonial and traditional Laos heritage. Here we will take in gleaming temples, fascinating monuments, and the nearby mysterious Pakou Caves, enjoying stunning landscapes and hill-tribe villages en route. We will take in Vietnam’s historic capital, Hanoi, touring the city’s most important monuments. We will take a overnight cruise through the natural wonder of Halong Bay, cruising by boat past staggering limestone islands, beautiful coves and impressive caves. We will take a walking tour through the pretty town of Hoi An and have time to relax on the beach. In Hue, we will see the ancient citadel and cruise by boat down the Perfume River. We will end our tour in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, where we will discover the city’s French colonial heritage, war-time history, bustling markets and atmospheric pagodas. We will enjoy a day boating and walking in the lush Mekong Delta and experiencing the relaxed pace of life this region.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Siem Reap

Greeted  at airport by our guide and driven to hotel. Check in hotel and have free time to explore Siem Reap Town at leisure.

On arrival at Siem Reap  Airport, you are greeted by our guide and taken to your hotel by private transfer.  You may have free time to relax and catch your first glimpse of Siem Reap Town, a gateway to the ruins of Angkor Temple Complex, which is regarded as the largest religious structure in the world. . This archeological site stretches over an forested area of some 400 square kilometers and contains the magnificent remains from the different capitals of the Khmer Empire between  802 AD and 1350 AD. They range from stunning architectural marvels to ordinary edifices full of rubble and will make for an exciting exploration in forthcoming days. No activity planned for this afternoon, you have some time free to  explore Siem Reap Town at your leisure. This urban center has grown up from a relatively small backwater town into the fastest growing settlement in Cambodia. The vibrant downtown is tightly packed with small eating spots, shop houses, luminous bars, and bustling old market, offering an interesting exploration. Today you can take an optional visit to the Angkor National Museum, a showpiece on the Khmer civilisation and the majesty of Angkor. The rich collection of Angkorian artifacts remains a very useful experience for first-time visitors, putting the story of Angkor and the Khmer empire in context before exploring the temples. This optional activity is not included; however, your guide is in hand to provide you with some suggestion. 

Day 2

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Take drive to archeological site and visit Angkor Thom, South Gate, Royal Enclosure and Bayon. Continue seeing famous Angkor Wat and catch sunset from Pre Rup Temple.

Day 3

Siem Reap – Banteay Srey

Head out of Siem Reap Town, explore Banteay Srey Temple. Continue seeing  Ta Prohm Temple, Neak Pean and Preah Khan.

Day 4

Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Luang Prabang

Take a boat trip on Tonle SapLake. Transfer to airport for flight to Luang Prabang – Laos  anc check in hotel

Day 5

Luang Prabang City Tour

Spend  this day exploring Luang Prabang Town.  Visit Wat Xieng Thong, Royal Palace, national Museum, Wat Mai and Wat Visoun. Walk up  to Phousi hill  to visit this hill top temple and catch view of Luang Prabang.

Day 6

Luang Prabang – Pakou Caves – Hanoi

Take a boat trip along Mekong River to visit Pakou Cave.  Explore Pakou Caves. Drive back to Luang Prabang with stopover at Ban Xang Hai, Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lake . Board flight to Hanoi and check in hotel.

Day 7

Hanoi City Tour

Spend a day to explore Hanoi, seeing Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ( close on Mon. and Fri) and  Ho Chi Minh House , One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of  Literature  and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.  Take a walk around the old quarter and enjoy a water puppet show.

Day 8

Hanoi – Halong Bay

Take a drive through the countryside to  Halong Bay. Embark a cruise for two day trip in Halong Bay, visit the scenic stone landscape and enjoy sea activities.

Day 9

Halong Bay – Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi An

Get up early to join the Tai Chi exercise or explore the bay at dawn. Visit Surprise cave and have brunch on cruise before heading back to Hanoi.

Day 10

Hoi An City Tour

Spend a half day exploring Hoi An on a walking tour. Visit Japanese Bridge, Museum  of Trade Ceramics, Phung Huong Ancient House, Chua Ong Pagoda and Phuc Kien Assemby Hall. Have free time to relax on Cua Dai Beach and do some shopping activities.

Day 11

Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue

Take a drive north to Hue. En route, visit Marble Mountain, Cham Museum, Hai Van Pass. Arriving in Hue, check in hotel and visit Hue Citadel.

Day 12

Hue – Ho Chi Minh

Relax on a boat trip along the Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda and Emperor Minh Mang. Take drive to see Khai Dinh Mausoleum and Dong Ba Market. Fly to Ho Chi Minh and check in hotel.

Day 13

Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels

Drive to Cu Chi and explore the  Cu Chi Tunnels. Return to Ho Chi Minh and Enjoy a half day city tour, including Nguyen Hue Boulevard, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office , War Remnant Exhibit then take a walk in Ben Thanh Market.

Day 14

Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh

Go overland to Mekong Delta and take a boat trip on the Mekong River to explore  Mekong Delta. Visit Unicorn Island and Ben Tre with cottage industries. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh with stopover at China Town.

PASSPORT & VISA

The passport must have six-months validity remaining and one blank page for entry stamp. To enter Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam,  foreigners require a valid visa, except  nationals of certain countries, which may visit  these countries  without visa for a period of time. You are required to contact our sales dep. to get the update visa exemption.

VACCINATION

At this time, no vaccination is required, but you should check with your doctor the health  information of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

CUSTOM REGULATION

1.LAOS:

Laos  custom regulation: free import  of  200 cigarettes or 500 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco;  2 liters of alcohol or wine or 5 liters of beer;  1 item of perfume or eau de toilette; personal effects.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 2,000 (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.

2.VIETNAM

Vietnam custom regulation: free import of 200 cigarettes, or 20 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco, 1,5 liters liquor at 20% volumes and above or 2 liters liquor below 20% volume or 3 liters of alcoholic beverages (excl. wines) and soft drinks, 5 kilograms of tea in maximum, 3 kilograms of coffe in maximum, a reasonable quantity of perfume and personal belongings, and other goods, total value of which is not exceeding ten million VND.

Import and export of firearms and ammunition is prohibited. Transit transportation of firearms, ammunition, explosives and highly dangerous goods is subject to prior approval from the government of Viet Nam.

No restriction of currency is applied for entry or exit Vietnam. However you must make the declaration if you bring along  Vietnamese Dong in excess of VND 150,000,000 or foreign currency in excess of 5,000 U.S. dollars or equivalent.  

3.CAMBODIA

Cambodia  custom regulation: free import of 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 400 grams of tobacco,  2 liters of alcohol or wine,  350 milliliters of perfume or eau de toilette, personal effects.

Currently, goods worth more than USD 100 are subject to customs duty and taxes and goods with a value of more than USD 300 must be declared on a Customs Declaration Form.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.
