Get a taste of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia across 12 days, with visits to the staggering Angkor temples, the charming town of Luang Prabang, Vietnam’s two major cities, ancient Hoi An and magical Halong Bay. We  arrive in Vietnam’s historic capital, Hanoi and  will see the city’s most significant monuments, museums and pagodas, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. We will experience the striking beauty of Halong Bay by boat, taking an overnight cruise through the dramatic scenery, with a chance to take part in various activities and visit the extraordinary Surprise Cave. Taking a flight over the mountainous region, we land in Luang Prabang,  Laos to explore the charming town of Luang Prabang, with it’s wonderful temples and French colonial architecture, as well as visiting the majestic Pakou caves. We will venture to Siem Reap - the gateway to the magnificent Angkor Temple complex, where we will explore the remarkable temple ruins, including the splendid Angkor Wat and the stunning Royal Enclosure. We get back to Vietnam and explore  Ho Chi Minh City. In thriving Ho Chi Minh City, we will tour the city’s colonial buildings, vibrant markets and war memorials. We will explore the lush Mekong Delta by boat, cruising past floating fish farms, rice fields and verdant islands.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Hanoi

Greeted  at airport by our guide and driven to hotel. Check in hotel and have free time.

OVERNIGHT: Hanoi MEALS: No

On arrival at Hanoi Airport, you are greeted  by our guide and taken to your hotel by private transfer. You will have some time free to relax or explore at your own leisure. The capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi is a fascinating blend of East and West, combining traditional Sino-Vietnamese motifs with French flair. The building boom has made Hanoi a rapidly developing city in Southeast Asia. However, it still retains an old charm brought from a thousand year of history, with many interesting cultural and historic monuments, beautiful lakes, shady parks, bustling street markets, funny shops and open air eating spots jostled in ancient houses, and historic temples adjoining colonial style structures. They offer both local and foreigner visitors an endless exploration. You might like to  stroll through the fascinating old quarter containing many vibrant streets which are named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. The lively atmosphere in Hanoi old quarter runs from the early hours until late at night  with many street vendors calling, horns honking, and chaotic traffic with waves of motorbikes you’ve never experienced.

Day 2

Hanoi City Tour

Spend a day to explore Hanoi, seeing Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ( close on Mon. and Fri) and  Ho Chi Minh House , One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of  Literature  and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.  Take a walk around the old quarter and enjoy a water puppet show.

Day 3

Hanoi – Halong Bay

Take a drive through the countryside to  Halong Bay. Embark a cruise for two day trip in Halong Bay, visit the scenic stone landscape and enjoy sea activities.

Day 4

Halong Bay – Hanoi – Luang Prabang

Get up early to join the Tai Chi exercise or explore the bay at dawn. Visit Surprise cave and have brunch on cruise before heading back to Hanoi.

Day 5

Luang Prabang City Tour

Spend  this day exploring Luang Prabang Town.  Visit Wat Xieng Thong, Royal Palace, national Museum, Wat Mai and Wat Visoun. Walk up  to Phousi hill  to visit this hill top temple and catch view of Luang Prabang.

Day 6

Luang Prabang – Pakou Caves – Kuang Si Waterfall

Take a boat trip along Mekong River to visit Pakou Cave. En route , stop to see Ban Xang Hai. Explore Pakou Cave and drive to Kuang Si Waterfall.  Visit some hill tribe villages and relax by this waterfall.

Day 7

Luang Prabang – Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake

Travel by air to Siem Reap and enjoy  boat trip to explore Tonle Sap Lake. Have free time to see Siem Reap Town.

Day 8

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Take drive to archeological site and visit Angkor Thom, South Gate, Royal Enclosure and Bayon. Continue seeing famous Angkor Wat and catch sunset from Pre Rup Temple.

Day 9

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples – Ho Chi Minh

Head out of Siem Reap Town, explore Ta Prohm Temple, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. Trasfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh

Drive to Cu Chi and explore the  Cu Chi Tunnels. Return to Ho Chi Minh and Enjoy a half day city tour, including Nguyen Hue Boulevard, Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office , War Remnant Exhibit then take a walk in Ben Thanh Market.

Day 11

Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh

Travel by road to Mekong Delta and take a boat trip on the Mekong River to explore  Mekong Delta. Visit Unicorn Island and Ben Tre with cottage industries. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh with stopover at China Town.

Day 12

Ho Chi Minh – Departure

Check out hotel and transfer to  airport for departure

To make your trip more convenient, we would like to provide quick facts to ensure that you have the right travel documents.

PASSPORT & VISA

The passport must have six-months validity remaining and one blank page for entry stamp. To enter Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, foreigners require a valid visa, except  nationals of certain countries, which may visit  these countries  without visa for a period of time. You are required to contact our sales dep. to get the update visa exemption.

VACCINATION

At this time, no vaccination is required, but you should check with your doctor the health  information of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

CUSTOM REGULATION

1.LAOS:

Laos  custom regulation: free import  of  200 cigarettes or 500 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco;  2 liters of alcohol or wine or 5 liters of beer;  1 item of perfume or eau de toilette;personal effects.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 2,000 (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.

2.VIETNAM

Vietnam custom regulation: free import of 200 cigarettes, or 20 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco, 1,5 liters liquor at 20% volumes and above or 2 liters liquor below 20% volume or 3 liters of alcoholic beverages (excl. wines) and soft drinks, 5 kilograms of tea in maximum, 3 kilograms of coffe in maximum, a reasonable quantity of perfume and personal belongings, and other goods, total value of which is not exceeding ten million VND.

Import and export of firearms and ammunition is prohibited. Transit transportation of firearms, ammunition, explosives and highly dangerous goods is subject to prior approval from the government of Viet Nam.

No restriction of currency is applied for entry or exit Vietnam. However you must make the declaration if you bring along  Vietnamese Dong in excess of VND 150,000,000 or foreign currency in excess of 5,000 U.S. dollars or equivalent.  

3.CAMBODIA

Cambodia  custom regulation: free import of 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 400 grams of tobacco,  2 liters of alcohol or wine,  350 milliliters of perfume or eau de toilette, personal effects.

Currently, goods worth more than USD 100 are subject to customs duty and taxes and goods with a value of more than USD 300 must be declared on a Customs Declaration Form.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.
