Experience the most alluring attractions in Cambodia across five days, taking in ancient temple ruins of Angkor, the spectacular natural beauty of Tonle Sap Lake and the country’s vibrant capital city, Phnom Penh.
This excursion takes us to Siem Reap, where we will spend time exploring the astonishing Angkor temple ruins. At the famous archaeological site, will take in the notorious Angkor Wat, the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor Thom with its sculptural South Gate, the Royal Enclosure, the Bayon temple complex and the enchanting Ta Prohm Temple, interwoven with plants and trees. We will also visit the pink sandstone Banteay Srey Temple and cruise on a traditional boat to Tonle Sap Lake, taking in the floating villages which populate this vast body of water. Our journey will continue to buzzing Phnom Penh, with it’s intoxicating mix of Cambodian, French and Chinese cultures. In the energetic capital, we will visit the spectacular Royal Palace complex with its dazzling Silver Pagoda, the National Museum of Cambodia and the impressive temple, Wat Phnom, the highest point in the city. We will learn about the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge regime at the Tuol Sleng Museum, a former high school used as centre for interrogation and torture during the Cambodian genocide, and the harrowing ‘Killing Fields’ just outside the city.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Siem Reap

Greeted  at airport by our guide and driven to hotel. Check in hotel and visit Angkor Complex with Angkor Wat . Then climb up Pre Rup Temple to view sunset.

On arrival at Siem Reap  Airport, you are greeted by our guide and taken to your hotel by private transfer. You may have little time to stroll around the town center or embark on an afternoon tour, depending on your arrival time. The tranquil town of Siem Reap is a gateway to the ruins of Angkor Temple Complex , which is regarded as the largest religious structure in the world. This archeological site stretches over an forested area of some 400 square kilometers and contains the magnificent remains from the different capitals of the Khmer Empire between  802 AD and 1350 AD. They range from stunning architectural marvels to ordinary edifices full of rubble. We take a short drive to the archeological zone to explore the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. The iconic monument  of the entire complex was built in the 12th century and reflects a perfect fusion of symbolism and symmetry, bringing the pride and strength to all Khmers. The distinctive five towers of this temple are now emblazoned on the Cambodian flag. We stroll around this massive monument, unraveling the mysteries of the bas-reliefs from Hindu mythology to the glories of the Khmer empire. The footsteps lead through the upper levels of the inner sanctuary to the sacred heart of Angkor Wat, a blend of spirituality and symmetry. We round off our tour with a walk up the Pre Rup Temple to enjoy the spectacular sunset over these sandstone monuments.

Day 2

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Take drive to archeological site and visit  Angkor Thom, South Gate, Royal Enclosure and Bayon. Continue seeing  Ta Prohm Temple, Neak Pean and Preah Khan.

Day 3

Siem Reap – Banteay Srey – Tonle Sap Lake

Head out of Siem Reap Town, explore Banteay Srey Temple and Banteay Srey. Spend this afternoon on a boat trip to see Tonle Sap lake and local life of fishmen on this lake.

Day 4

Siem Reap – Phnom Penh

Take  flight to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. Met by our guide and driven to hotel. Start exploring Phnom Penh with Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.

Day 5

Phnom Penh – Departure

Continue exploring Phnom Penh with National Museum, Wat Phnom, Toul Sleng Museum and Killing Field. Round off sightseeing tour with a walk around the Central Market. Transfer to airport for departure.

PASSPORT & VISA

The passport must have six-months validity remaining and one blank page for entry stamp. To enter Cambodia, foreigners require a valid visa, except  nationals of certain countries, which may visit  Cambodia without visa for a period of time. You are required to contact our sales dep. to get the update visa exemption.

VACCINATION

At this time, no vaccination is required, but you should check with your doctor the health  information of Cambodia.

CUSTOM REGULATION

Based on the current custom regulation of Cambodia , visitors can get free import : 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 400 grams of tobacco,  2 liters of alcohol or wine,  350 milliliters of perfume or eau de toilette, personal effects.

Currently, goods worth more than USD 100 are subject to customs duty and taxes and goods with a value of more than USD 300 must be declared on a Customs Declaration Form.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.
