Tour Overview

Spend twelve days discovering Cambodia’s most loved attractions, learning about the country’s history and getting off the beaten track to enjoy beautiful beaches and magnificent countryside.
This journey will unveil Siem Reap, gateway to the magnificent Angkor temples, where we will tour the most fascinating of the temple ruins, such as the infamous Angkor Wat, the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor Thom, the Royal Enclosure and the atmospheric Ta Prohm, where the jungle has invaded the temple ruins. We will also see the intricately-carved limestone Banteay Srey Temple and the ancient capital, Roluos Group. We will walk through lush forest to the ‘River of a Thousand Lingas’ where the riverbed features carved sculptures. We will cruise by boat to Tonle Sap Lake where we can see floating villages living a different pace of life. In the Cambodian countryside we will spend a night at the home of a family in a traditional village. We will travel to Kampot town, from where we will visit a pepper farm, salt fields and enjoy swimming and snorkeling off the pristine beaches of Rabbit Island. We will have leisure time at the seaside town of Sihanoukville and it’s spectacular surrounding islands, stopping at small villages and meeting local communities on the way. In Cambodia’s thriving capital, Phnom Penh, we will visit the most exciting sites, such as the Royal Palace complex and the harrowing ‘Killing Fields’.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Greeted  at airport by our guide and driven to hotel. Check in hotel and have free time to explore Siem Reap Town at leisure.

On arrival at Siem Reap  Airport, you are greeted by our guide and taken to your hotel by private transfer.  You may have free time to relax and catch your first glimpse of Siem Reap Town, a gateway to the ruins of Angkor Temple Complex, which is regarded as the largest religious structure in the world. . This archeological site stretches over an forested area of some 400 square kilometers and contains the magnificent remains from the different capitals of the Khmer Empire between  802 AD and 1350 AD. They range from stunning architectural marvels to ordinary edifices full of rubble and will make for an exciting exploration in forthcoming days. No activity planned for this afternoon, you have some time free to  explore Siem Reap Town at your leisure. This urban center has grown up from a relatively small backwater town into the fastest growing settlement in Cambodia. The vibrant downtown is tightly packed with small eating spots, shop houses, luminous bars, and bustling old market, offering an interesting exploration. Today you can take an optional visit to the Angkor National Museum, a showpiece on the Khmer civilisation and the majesty of Angkor. The rich collection of Angkorian artifacts remains a very useful experience for first-time visitors, putting the story of Angkor and the Khmer empire in context before exploring the temples. This optional activity is not included; however, your guide is in hand to provide you with some suggestion. 

Day 2

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Take drive to visit Rolous Group with Lo Lei, Preah Ko and Bakong Temples. Head to Angkor Thom and explore South Gate, Royal Enclosure and Bayon Temple.

Day 3

Siem Reap – Angkor Temples

Explore in depth Angkor Temple complex with Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei Temple. Continue seeing Ta Prohm Temple, Neak Pean , Preah Khan and Angkor Wat.

Day 4

Siem Reap – Banteay Srey – River Of Thousand Lingas

Head out of Siem Reap Town, take drive to explore Banteay Srey Temple. Also take a walk in jungle to visit River of thousand Lingars and catch a look at Banteay Samre.

Day 5

Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Kampong Thom

Board a local boat to see  Tonle Sap Lake and floating houses of fishmen living on this lake.  Transfer to Kampong Thom and stay at local house in Sombor Village.

Day 6

Kampong Thom – Sambor Prei Kuk – Kampot

Explore Sambor Preikuk temple complex. Travel by road to southern Cambodia and pass Skoun Junction before arriving in Kampot.

Day 7

Kampot – Kep

Spend this day to explore Kampot and Kep areas. Visit pepper farm and take  boat trip to Rabbit Island.  Relax and enjoy sea activities. Travel by road to visit salt fields and meet workers on fields.

Day 8

Kampot – Sihanoukville

Leave Kampot for Sihanoukville Beach and drive past the scenic countryside. Arriving in Sihanoukville, check in hotel and relax.

Day 9

Sihanoukville Rest And Relax

Have a free day to relax or  explore Sihanoukville at leisure. Many available activities includes day trip to Koh Rong Island and Bamboo Island,  trekking  in  Ream National Park or riding bike to Kbal Chhay Waterfalls.

Day 10

Sihanoukville – Phnom Penh

Have free time to relax and unwind in Sihanoukville. Leave this beach town and drive to Phnom Penh. Check in hotel and explore this town at leisure.

Day 11

Phnom Penh City Tour

Spend this day exploring Phnom Penh with Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum of Cambodia. And Wat Phnom. Continue seeing Toul Sleng Museum and Killing Fields before strolling around Central Market.

Day 12

Phnom Penh – Departure

Check out hotel and transfer to  airport for departure.

PASSPORT & VISA

The passport must have six-months validity remaining and one blank page for entry stamp. To enter Cambodia, foreigners require a valid visa, except  nationals of certain countries, which may visit  Cambodia without visa for a period of time. You are required to contact our sales dep. to get the update visa exemption.

VACCINATION

At this time, no vaccination is required, but you should check with your doctor the health  information of Cambodia.

CUSTOM REGULATION

Based on the current custom regulation of Cambodia , visitors can get free import : 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 400 grams of tobacco,  2 liters of alcohol or wine,  350 milliliters of perfume or eau de toilette, personal effects.

Currently, goods worth more than USD 100 are subject to customs duty and taxes and goods with a value of more than USD 300 must be declared on a Customs Declaration Form.

The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 10,000.- (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.
