The Pigeons releasing contest is orginzed in Duc Tu Commune, Dong Anh District by end of Spring ends and beginning of summer ,
The Duc Tu Village opens pigeons releasing festival every year in the spring. In the festival, there are tens of pigeon flocks of the villagers and players in the region come here to compete the prize. The first prize is the red brocade flag embroidered 6 yellow words: “nghia dieu quan anh de nhat”. The player who wins the prize is not only famous, but his pigeons flock is also very expensive. To have a flock of 8 to 10 pigeons, the players have to choose from 30 to 40 pigeons, select purebred pigeons, and feed them carefully when they are newly hatched. The players have to be the patient people and have a passion for it. The Pigeons releasing Festival has been an elegant interesting for long time. |
