| The pavilion, a three-storey structure of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) with double bow-shaped brackets supporting the upturning roof-corners, is situated at the foot of Taibao Mountain in the west of Baoshan City. It has recently been repaired. Each side of the pavilion is flanked with an octagonal bell kiosk which is also known by the name "Yuanzhen Tower". In the Ming Dynasty, the famous Chinese traveler Xu Xiake had stayed in this pavilion. To the north of the pavilion, there is the Yufo Temple in which are enrichinged many jade Buddhas. Baoshan Museum was established right in the Yuhuang Pavilion a few years ago. |
