The Ky Cung - Ta Phu Temple Festival is orgnized from the 22nd to the 27th day of the first lunar month in Lang Son City. The festival prays for Than Cong Tai, a head of district who had merit of opening Ky Lua Market to trade with Chinese from the 17th century.
This is the biggest festival in Lang Son Province. It involves Tuan Tranh's palanquin procession from Ky Cung Temple to Ta Phu Temple to repay Than Cong Tai for his kindness. The procession includes group of people in color dresses and many kinds of flags, and canopies. There are many folk games such as human chess playing contest, lion dance, sli, and luon singing contests. The Luon singing (a style of singing of Nung, and Tay to wish their parents having a longevity life, thank to sky, and earth). The festival attracts many people.
