The Golden Island Cottage I is emerged from the collective efforts and contributions of the Pa oh people, and the revenue of which shall be utilized for social and regional development of remote and less accessible area within the territory. The cottgages are mostly built of bamboo and wood to mark and stand for the traditional and local life in the Inle region. The rooms are appointed amidst the major tourist attractions in and around the lake.

LOCATION
The Golden Island Cottage lies in the best selected ideal place to see the best that the lake has to offer. The traditional setting of the hotel will offer guests the real atmosphere of being in the mother lake and observing on orange sunset from private balcony is also a credit for their stay . The drive time from Heho airport to Nyaung Shwe pier is approximately 50 minutes, then 60 minutes boat ride to the Golden Island Cottage .

The Golden Island Cottage I consists of 30 bungalows with decor of natural and local fabrics and furnishings. The rooms are in medium size and have private balcony and window overlooking the lake and getting cool wind. They offer limited amenities and have neither electricity at night time and nor air conditioning but it is nearly always cool on the lake.
The standard room with a private lake view balcony, is fitted with a double bed or 2 single beds and has a bathroom with a shower only. The superior room offers the same facilities as what of the standard room but is slighty larger with some additional amenities.
