The strand suite room is the finest room of the hotel, and offers a private veranda overlooking the Yangon River. The Strand cafe with the big, teak framed windows, looks out onto the Strand road. The globe chandelier lighting, floor of tile inlaid with teak, dinning chairs of sturdy egg-cane rattan and black ceiling fans and corners, a timeless charm. This cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner , with menu featuring burmese and Western cuisine. The Strand grill is perhaps Yangoon's most elegant dinning room. The Strand bar has more upbeat music. Amid the teak tables and long bar, a Jazz band performs nightly.
